Class 3

Welcome to Class 3

Welcome to Class 3.   I hope that everyone had a lovely half term holiday. I would like to welcome you all back for a fun filled half term.

Introductions

I would like to introduce myself and our Class 3 team, I am Mrs Robinson and Mrs Safdar is the lovely TA who works in our class.

For those new to KS2 I will give you a bit of an overview of our day as this will be different to KS1.

In the morning, the children are taught in year groups for English.  I teach the Year 3 children and Mrs Whittaker will teach the Year 4 children.  In Maths, the children are streamed into groups so some children in Class 3 will be taught by myself or taught by Mrs Whittaker.

If there are any 'new to KS2' parents who would like to come and ask me any questions about KS2 please feel free to arrange a meeting or ask me at the end of the school day.

Spring 2019 - In Geography, we had to sort different volcanoes. We had to decide if they were dormant, active or extinct.

Every Tuesday of this half term we have had someone come to visit us from the Up and Active Team at Hyndburn Sports Centre. We have learnt lots about what we should be eating and encouraging us to have less screen time. This week we got to see what fat looks like. It wasn't very nice at all.

January 2019 - Here we are learning the different types of weather in French. The class had to say the weather and the pair at the board had to choose which picture matched.

Here we are creating our own version of the Earth from Plasticine. We looked at the different layers of the Earth right down into the inner core.

Week beginning 7th January 2019
