We are starting a new topic in English.  We are looking at Twisted Fairy Tales.  We will be reading 'Jim and the Beanstalk' by Raymond Briggs.

I have added a video below of the story.  Today I would only like you to watch up to the 1 minute mark.  Then I want you to think about what you think will happen next.

You need to answer the following questions.

-What happens when Jim gets to the top?

-Who do you think will be at the top?

-Who do you think lives in the castle?

-What might happen when Jim meets the person in the castle?

-What might happen at the end of the story?

Write down all your predictions so that when we read more you can see if you were correct.

This week, we are learning all about fractions.  We are going to start today by looking at fractions as equal parts.

The sheet attached has lot of different shapes on it.  I would like you to cut out the shapes and try and fold them in half and then into quarters.  You then need to sort them into shapes that fold equally and shapes that don't.
