A very warm welcome to Class 3, where you will find 24 enthusiastic and hard-working pupils. Class 3 is taught by Miss Whittaker on a Monday, Tuesday, and on Wednesday morning. Mrs Barker teaches the class on Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday. We are also very lucky to have Mrs Whittaker, who supports us with our learning throughout the week.

PE

We have our PE lessons on Monday and Friday afternoons. Please come to school in your PE kit. Please note: earrings must be removed for health and safety reasons.

Reading

A school reading book will be given to your child to take home every Thursday. Please sign your child's reading record to celebrate the reading that has taken place at home. Books can be changed the following Thursday. The children will also visit our school library each week and bring home a book to enjoy reading.

Spellings

Spelling is taught each day at school using the Spelling Shed Programme.  Please access the Spelling Shed website at home to help prepare your child for their weekly spelling test. Children have been provided with their login details in the front of their yellow reading record. Spelling tests will take place on a Thursday.

Maths Homework

Your child will receive a piece of Maths homework every Thursday, which should be returned by the following Thursday. This homework will be linked to the children’s learning from that week and is designed to help consolidate and reinforce their understanding.
